Hope Everyone survived the heat wave we had over the last few days. There looks to be relief in the near term future. Cooler temperatures and lower dewpoints are expected, starting tomorrow afternoon thru Monday.
This Evening
This evening, we have mostly sunny skies with a few clouds. Hot temperatures with high dew points are persisting across the region. A cold front is currently moving thru the region bringing in lower dew point temperatures and slightly cooler temperatures. A Low pressure is located in central Pennsylvania is triggering showers and storms across Pennsylvania. There is a stationary front across Northern Maine. THere is a low near Quebec city, which is responsible for the unsettled weather over Northern New England. This Evening, expect mostly clear skies with a few clouds developing along the coast of Connecticut and Northern Maine with low temperatures ranging in the 60s and 70s. Winds from the north-northwest at 5-10 mph. Fog possible along the coast.
Saturday- Dry start to the day for most with sun and clouds. Scattered showers and isolated storms developing across New England and Eastern New York late morning into early afternoon. It is associated with a cold front moving through the region. Scattered showers and isolated storms will persists through the afternoon and early evening. Some breaks of Sun in the afternoon. Hi Temperatures in the 70s and 80s across Northern New England, 80s and 90s across Southern New England and Eastern New York. Dew points will be lower, leading to less humidity in the air. Low temperatures in the 50s and 60s across Northern New England, 60s to near 70 across Eastern NY and Southern New England. Winds from the west-northwest at 5-10 mph.
