A Look around the country

-The main weather headline across the country is the record heat in the Great Plains and Ohio River Valley.   A strong ridge has developed across this region with high pressure being situated over Ohio. This is allowing for the humid hot air to be pumped into the region and progress east toward the east coast.  Most locations in this region are under heat advisories and warnings. On average, most locations will are in the upper 90s to near 100 with heat indices above 100.
-Across the Southwest, there are flash flood watches and warnings. Low pressure found across the mohavi desert is responsible for the heavy rain and frequent dust storms across the region.
-The Northeast is experiencing a summer like pattern with hazy hot humid weather.  High pressure is providing beautiful weather across the region. Temperatures on average  this afternoon will be in the 90's along the coastal plains to 80's farther inland. Cold front will approach the region tomorrow bringing along showers and storms.
-Across the Northern Plains, a cool dry air mass is settling in. A cold front is situated across Nebraska, Minnesota, and wisconsin.  Showers and Storms are along the boundary. The front will progress towards with strong storms possible across the Great Lakes and ohio river valley.  Temperatures across the region will be in the 70s and 80s, but less humidity.
Across the Southeast, A stationary front is situated across the Georgia/South Carolina coastline.  Heat advisories are  found across the region will temperatures in the 90's to near 100 with high humidity and heat indices.  There will be some isolated to scattered storms along the stationary front in the region.
-Across the Northwest, It is cool and wet with showers. Temperatures on average will be in the 60's to 70's.
