A look around the country.

-The heat is on across the country. Much of the Great plains, Great Lakes region, and Mid Atlntic is under a heat advisory or excessive heat warning.  Temperatures are in the 90s to 100 +.  This heat will be upon us starting tomorrow and lasts thru the weekend. The worst of the heat could come on Thursday with high temperatures in the 90s to near 100.

-Drought is another ongoing problem across parts of the southeast, Northern Gulf coast, Southern great plains, and New Mexico.  Some wildfires are occurring in these areas.

-Tropical Storm Brett is off the coast of the South Eastern United States.  As of 1:30 p.m., the storm had max winds of 50 mph. The storm has weakened from a day or two ago.  It will continue to track to the northeast at 8 mph. It will track west of Bermuda.  Some surf will be the only impact from the storm.

-An updated Forecast 5 day forecast will be posted later this evening.
-Enjoy your day
