Severe Weather Update

The National Weather Service of Caribou Maine has posted a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Northern and North Central Maine until 6 pm.  Storm development is favorable over this region. For more information, go to.... http://forecast.weather.gov/showsigwx.php?warnzone=MEZ004&warncounty=MEC021&firewxzone=MEZ004&local_place1=4+Miles+SW+McCarty+ME&product1=Severe+Thunderstorm+Watch

Cape Values are approaching above 1000 J/Kg across portions of the watched area over North Central Maine. The lifting Index is around -4 and -3 as of early afternoon across this region.  This environment is good for storm development. If you hear thunder, get inside.

-Heavy Rain is also occurring in Northern Maine.  Flash flooding is possible in some areas where training and heavy rain continues.
-I will continue to monitor this situation this afternoon for any further developments.

Have a great Afternoon
