Good Afternoon Everyone. Hope everyone is surviving the heat. There is relief in the next few days . I will discuss that in my 5 day forecast later this evening.
Currently, We have hot to record hot temperatures across Eastern New York, and most of New England. We have Heat advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings across Connecticut, Rhode Island, Most of Eastern MA, Eastern New Hampshire, and Southern/ Eastern coastal Maine. In these areas, there will be high temperatures in the 90s to above 100! The Dew points across the region is in the upper 60s to 70s, which is resulting in heat indexes being in the 90s to 100 to even above 110 for certain locations. That is insane. It will continue to be hot and humid into this evening. When outside, take necessary breaks, avoid excessive sun light, drink plenty of water, watch out for your pets, and check on your loved ones.
There are some air quality alerts across parts of Connecticut, and the Cape and the Islands.
Last, There are some isolated showers and storms across North Central and Northern Maine.
