4 day Forecast for Friday, August 19th thru Monday, August 22nd

Good Evening Everyone

Analysis

A cold front is currently situated across the Great Lakes and Indiana.  The front will approach the region on Friday and move through during the evening.   A  low will move along the front and bring some showers and storms to the region for the day Friday.   Another cold front will move in Sunday and  exit through early Monday.  A low will impact the area and bring some scattered showers and storms, especially later in the day Sunday through early Monday.  There is a high probability of severe storms forming over the region Sunday.  Western New England and Eastern NY have the greatest threat of severe weather developing.  The biggest threat will be heavy rain,  hail, and damaging winds.  high pressure will move in later in the day Monday.

Friday, August 19th

Patchy fog in the morning.  Partly cloudy with isolated showers and storms in the morning across parts of Eastern NY, and Western New England.   Partly cloudy with Scattered showers and storms in the afternoon and evening.  The greatest threat for precipitation will be across Western New England and Eastern NY.  There may be some downpours.   Warm and Humid.  High temperatures in the 70s and 80s.  Winds from the south-southwest at 5-15 mph with higher gusts possible along the coast.  Low temperatures in the 60s to near 70.  Winds from the north-northwest at 5-10 mph with higher gusts possible across Eastern NY and Western New England.  Winds from the west-southwest at 5-15 mph with higher gusts possible.


Saturday,  August 20th

Patchy fog.  Partly cloudy with isolated showers and storms in the morning across Eastern NY and Western New England.   Some Breaks of sun with clouds building late morning thru afternoon with isolated showers and storms in the afternoon and evening. Warm.  High temperatures in the 70s and 80s.  Winds form the west-southwest at 5-10 mph with higher gusts possible along the coast.   Low temperatures in the 60s to near 70.  Winds from the west-southwest at 5-10 mph with higher gusts possible.

Sunday,  August 21st

Patchy fog.   Mostly sunny in the morning.  Clouds building late morning and early afternoon.  Scattered showers and storms later in the afternoon and evening.  Some downpours are expected.  There is a high probability of Severe Weather across the region tomorrow afternoon and evening.  The area of greatest concern will be over Eastern NY and Western New England.   Be aware of storms producing strong winds, heavy downpours,  and possible hail  tomorrow.   High temperatures in the 60s and 70s across Northern New England,  70s and 80s across Southern New England and Eastern NY.  Winds from the west-southwest at 5-15 mph with higher gusts possible along the coast.  Low temperatures in the 60s to near 70.  Winds from the west-southwest at 5-15 mph with higher gusts possible.

Monday,  August 22nd

Patchy Fog.  Mostly cloudy with left over showers and storms in the morning .  A few downpours are possible.   Sun and clouds with an isolated shower and storm in the afternoon and evening, especially across Northern New England.  High temperatures in the 60s and 70s to near 80.   Winds from the west-northwest at 5-10 mph with higher gusts possible.  Low temperatures in the 40s and 50s to near 60.  Winds from the west-northwest at 5-10 mph with higher gusts possible.
