Winters Return on the Northeast and a Possible Storm Saturday....

Good Evening Everyone,

Surface Analysis

A stationary front is located across the Mid-Atlantic and Southern New England Coast.  A series of Lows will move along the front.   A High across the Northern Great Lakes will provide re-enforcing cold air into the northeast over the next couple days.   A Low across the Gulf will move up the east coast on Saturday.  The question is to how far the low will track off the Southern New England Coast.  A track closer to the coast will provide heavy snowfall to interior sections of the region.  A track further offshore would bring minimal precipitation to the clouds.

My Snow forecast....
Early estimates...
Eastern NY...

2-4 inches across the valleys; 4-7 inches across Catskills, and Taconics.
Southern New England....

5-8 inches across the Berkshires; 4-7 inches across Central MA, East Central MA, Northern CT, Northwestern RI; 2-4 inches interior Eastern MA,  Interior Rhode Island, and Eastern Interior CT.  Mixing to 1 inch along the coast possible.
Northern New England....

5-8 inches across the Southern Green and White Mountains: 4-7 inches across Southern NH; 2-4 inches across Central Green, Northern White, and Central interior Maine; dusting to 2 inches across Northern VT.

Note:  This is only a rough estimate of snowfall.  The Storm is still 2 days out and a lot can change in the track and intensity.  Stay tuned for further updates regarding this possible storm Saturday Night into Sunday!!!!

If anyone has any photos of the snow or fall leaves, feel free to post the pictures on the blog facebook page or you can email me the photo at postlejeb@yahoo.com
