Pre-Thanksgiving storm recap

It has been a topsy turvey weather pattern over the last month or two across the region.  We have seen warm temperatures for October and November .  However, two big snowstorms have preceded to follow at the ends of the months.  This last storm was a fast moving storm that produced a winter wonderland for many across parts of Eastern NY and Northern New England.  The cold air remained in place across the region allowing for a longer duration of snow to occur for some.  Some ice accumulated with this event due to the warm air riding over the cold air entrenched near the surface.   Upwards of 1 foot of snow fell across parts of Vermont,  High Peaks of the Adirondacks of New York, White Mountain Region of New Hampshire, and parts of Maine.   Ski country benefited well with this and has prompted more terrain to be open for this holiday weekend. On the other side of the storm, heavy rain fell across Southern New England and Eastern NY.  1-3 inches of rain fell with this storm.  Some flash flooding was reported with this.  Here is a look at some snow totals.
