Updated Forecast through Wednesday, December 7th

Good Evening Everyone

Hope everyone is enjoying there Friday( TGIF).  The cooler weather will be upon us through the weekend until warmer weather tries to make a return to the region.   For now, it will feel more like the holidays with the exception of now snow.   However, that may change for some across the region.   A low across Northern Mexico will develop into a storm that will approach the region late Monday through Wednesday morning.  This will result in Snow across Northern New England and Eastern NY.  Heavy rain will be present across Southern New England.  This storm is still far out and can change due to the track and the extent of cold air present.  I will keep you updated as the storm approaches.

Surface Analysis:
A cold front will be clearing the region early morning providing some of the coldest temperatures thus far this season with some sun.  The clearing and cold weather will be dominated from a high that will be over the region through the early work week.   A low along a stationary front across Northern Mexico will move to the northeast and impact our region Monday through Wednesday.

Saturday, December 3rd
Mostly sunny across Southern New England and Eastern NY.  Partly cloudy across Northern New England.  High temperatures in the 30s and 40s to near 50.  Relatively light winds from the North switching to the South.  Low temperatures in 10s and 20s across Northern New England,  20s and 30s across Southern New England and Eastern NY.  Relatively light winds from the South-Southwest.

Sunday, December 4th
Mostly sunny in the morning.  Clouds building in the afternoon and evening.  High temperatures in the 30s and 40s across Northern New England, 40s and 50s across Southern New England and Eastern NY. Winds from the South-Southwest at 5-15 mph with higher gusts along the coast and across higher elevations.  Low temperatures in the 30s and 40s.  Winds from the South-Southwest at 5-15 mph with higher gusts along the coast and across higher elevations.


Monday, December 5th
Patchy fog in the morning.  Mostly cloudy across Eastern NY and Northern New England with scattered showers.  Partly cloudy across Southern New England in the morning.  Mostly cloudy with rain developing in the afternoon and evening from West to East.  High temperatures in the 40s and 50s to near 60.  Low temperatures in the 30s and 40s.


Tuesday, December 6th
Periods of light rain and showers across Southern New England.  A few downpours possible  High temperatures in the  30s and 40s across Northern New England and Eastern NY, 40s and 50s to near 60 across Southern New England .  Low temperatures in the 30s and 40s across Northern New England, 40s and 50s


Wednesday, December 7th
Patchy fog possible in the morning.  Mostly cloudy scattered showers across Eastern NY and Southern New England.  Rain developing in the afternoon and evening across Southern New England.  Rain changing to snow across parts of Southern New England and Eastern NY Wednesday evening through Thursday morning.   High temperatures in the 30s and 40s across Northern New England, 40s and 50s across Southern New England and Eastern NY. Low temperatures in the 20s and 30s.
