5 day forecast for Friday, August 5th thru Tuesday, August 9th

 Good morning everyone,

Analysis
The cold front that was off the coast of Southern New England is moving thru the Southeast of the United States.  There is a High Pressure across Michigan that will help bring some pleasant weather this afternoon  and parts of the day tomorrow.  I can't rule out a shower or isolated storm today and tomorrow.   There is a disturbance over the Dakotas along a frontal boundary that could impact the region by the weekend. It will produce heavy rain and storms for most of the region through the second half of the weekend.  A warm front will try to move in through overnight and tomorrow morning.  A front from the north and west will be with us tomorrow thru tuesday.  Some disturbances will be associated with it making for a unsettled weather pattern across the region for the next couple days.

Friday, August 5th
Patchy fog in the morning possible.  Sun and clouds with isolated showers and storms in the afternoon and evening.  High Temperatures in the 70s and 80s, with cooler temperatures near the coast due to a local sea breeze.  Winds from the south-southwest at 5-10 mph with higher gusts possible.  Low temperatures in the 50s and 60s across Northern New England,  60s to near 70 across Eastern NY and Southern New England. Winds from the west-southwest at 5-15 mph with higher gusts possible.

Saturday, August 6th
Sun and clouds in the morning with isolated showers possible across Western New England and Eastern New York.   Clouds building late morning and afternoon.  Showers and storms developing in Eastern New York and Western New England in the afternoon and evening.  Showers and storms will continue to move from west to east into Eastern New England late evening and overnight.  Localized downpours likely.  High Temperatures in the 70s and 80s across the region, with lower temperatures possible near the coast due to a sea breeze.    Winds from the west-southwest at 5-15 mph with higher gusts possible.  Low temperatures in the 60s to near 70.  Winds from the south-southwest at 5-10 mph with higher gusts possible.
