5 day analysis and forecast

Good evening


Analysis


A Warm front will approach the area during the day tomorrow.  It will be followed by a disturbance along a frontal boundary during the weekend into early next week.  Remnants of precipitation from Tropical storm Lee and the disturbance across the region will bring a lot of rainfall to the area.  There will be a high risk of flooding, especially across Eastern NY and Western New England.  A strong Cold front will be moving thru the region later in the day Monday.  A taste of Fall will be present behind the front with cooler temperatures.


Forecast


Friday, September 2nd


Areas of fog.  Partly cloudy in the morning.  Sun and clouds in the afternoon and evening. Clouds moving in the evening toward overnight.  High temperatures in the 70s and 80s with cooler temps near the coast.  Winds from the south at 5-10 mph across Western New England and Eastern NY,  Easterly winds at 5-15 mph across Eastern New England with higher gusts possible along the coast.   Low temperatures in the 60s to near 70. Winds from the south-southwest at 5-15 mph with higher gusts possible.


Saturday, September 3rd


Patchy fog.  Partly cloudy with isolated showers, especially across Eastern NY and Western New England.   Sun and clouds with Scattered showers and storms in the afternoon and evening.  High temperatures in the 70s and 80s.  Winds from the south-southwest at 5-10 mph with higher gusts possible.  Low temperatures in the 60s to near 70.  Winds from the west-southwest at 5-10 mph with higher gusts possible across Eastern NY and Western New England,  north-northwest at 5-10 mph across Northern New England.


Sunday, September 4th


Partly cloudy with isolated showers and storms across Northern New England.  Clouds building during the afternoon and evening from west to east.   Rain and storms in the afternoon, becoming more numerous toward the evening and overnight.  Downpours likely.  High temperatures in the 70s and 80s.  Winds from the south-southwest at 5-20 mph with higher gusts possible. Low temperatures in the 60s and 70s. Winds from the south-southwest at 5-10 mph with higher gusts possible.


Monday, September 5th


Mostly cloudy with Scattered showers and storms, especially across Western New England and Eastern NY.  Rain and storms in the afternoon and evening.  Downpours likely, especially across Eastern NY and Northern New England.  High temperatures in the 60s and 70s across Northern New England, 70s and 80s across Southern NY and Eastern NY.  Winds from the south-southwest at 5-15 mph with higher gusts possible.  Low temperatures in the 50s and 60s.  Winds from the


Tuesday, September 6th


Heavy rain and storms, especially across Western New England and Eastern NY.  Rain and scattered storms in the afternoon.  Downpours likely.  High temperatures in the 50s and 60s to near 70.  Winds from the north-northwest at 5-10 mph with higher gusts possible.  Low temperatures in the 40s and 50s across Northern New England, 50s and 60s across Southern New England and Eastern NY.  Winds from the east-northeast at 5-10 mph with higher gusts possible.
