Forecast for Sunday, October 9th thru Friday, October 14th

Good Morning Everyone

I hope everyone is enjoying their Columbus Day Weekend.  Temperatures are well above average for this time of year.  We may have temperatures near 90 in a few locations across Southern New England and Eastern NY later today.  It's beach weather!  This summer-like stretch won't last long as this weather will slowly transition to cooler temps and more rain later in the work week.  If you have a chance, take advantage of this beautiful weather over the next couple days before the rain and clouds return.

Analysis

Currently, there is an area of high pressure over the Mid-Atlantic that is providing us beautiful weather, yet summer-like temperatures.  There is a low associated with a cold front across the Northern Plains and Great Plains.  The High will dominate our weather for the next couple days.  The low out of the great plains will slowly move to east throughout the week and tap in moisture from the gulf and Atlantic.  This will be our next rain maker sometime late Wednesday Evening thru the first part of the weekend.
